What gives you inspiration to write?
Just about everything. It can be a place, a conversation with someone (good or bad), even a sound can inspire something that later drifts into one of my books. It's one of the best parts of writing. You begin to live constantly seeking inspiration.
What advice would you give an author who is uncertain about their future in the literature world?
As long as it brings you joy, keep writing. Publishing deals and excellent reviews are great. But if all you want to do is write, that is completely valid. Don't let anyone steal the pleasure of storytelling from you.
