Tell us about yourself.
I am an avid reader, an apraxia of speech advocate, and an award-winning author of middle grade and young adult books. My debut fantasy-adventure middle grade novel MOTLEY EDUCATION released October 2016 (Leap Books), and my young adult contemporary/fantasy-romance MARKED BEAUTY will release October 17, 2017, (Ellysian Press.) When I'm not chasing my characters around a cemetery or testing them against the joys and angst of young love, I can be found in land of lobsters and snowy winters with my husband, four children, one dog, and three kitties.

What advice would you give an author who is uncertain about their future in the literature world?
If you have a passion to write and explore life in all it's wonders - and yes, at times angst - then do it. Understand that it will be tough at times, but that's okay. It's how we learn and grow. Your journey is yours and yours alone. Embrace it, and don't compare it to anyone else's experience. Oh, and get involved in the writing community. They truly are the most supportive people in the world.
